Park Pavilion

2017 Wuhan, China.

The pavilion is an informal sheltered gathering space for a large park in a residential area of Wuhan, China. The elliptical forms are a continuation of the plan for the landscape design of the park.

The simple geometry creates two tree like shelters which are wrapped in a curved screen to create a barrier whilst not fully enclosing the space.

The form and the use of bright colours are intended to be playful and functional additions to the park context.
